If you have an Amazon Alexa supported device, whether it's a smartphone or an Echo, you'll need to first link your Amazon Account with your DroneMobile Account. Please follow these steps to do so.
Step 1: Log into your Amazon Alexa app
Step 2: Navigate to “Skills and Games”.
Step 3: Search for "DroneMobile".
Step 4: Press "Enable to Use".
We've received a lot of feedback from DroneMobile users who want to send remote start commands from their Amazon Alexa devices. We're excited to announce that hands-free remote start with Alexa is now live! Make sure you read through this entire article on how to set a pin for sending these commands.
If you're happy with this new feature, we'd greatly appreciate your positive review!
Step 5: Sign into your DroneMobile account.
This process will link your Amazon account to your DroneMobile account, enabling voice control from all of your devices that utilize Amazon Alexa.
Step 6: Once you see this message, your account is successfully linked!
Step 7: To send "Unlock" and "Remote Start" commands, you will need to set an "Unlock Pin". Log into your account at https://accounts.dronemobile.com.
Step 8: From the dashboard, click "Edit Profile".
Step 9: Scroll to the bottom of the profile page and set a 4-digit "Unlock Pin".
All voice control applications will request this 4-digit pin when sending "Unlock" or "Remote Start" commands. At this time, "Remote Start" is only available for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
If you do not want to enable remote start commands from your Amazon Alexa device, do not set an "Unlock Pin". If you want to disable this feature temporarily, log into your account at https://accounts.dronemobile.com and delete this field and click/press "Save". At this time, this will disable both remote start and unlock commands.
