I renewed my DroneMobile subscription after it had expired, and it doesn't work. How do I fix this?

When reactivating a DroneMobile subscription, after it has expired, sometimes the drone unit will remain asleep. When attempting to use the unit you will receive a ‘network communication error’. In order to fix this issue we will need to reboot the power on the unit by following the steps below:

DR-1000:

  • Please unhook the negative battery terminal to your vehicle.
  • Leave unplugged for 10 minutes or more before hooking it back up.
  • Wait about 5 minutes before testing drone unit. 

If this does not work for you or you do not feel comfortable unplugging your vehicle battery please see the original installer or an authorized dealer.

DR-2000/3000:

Cycle ignition three times using the vehicle key in the following sequence: 

  • on (3 seconds) 
  • off (1 second)
  • on (3 seconds)
  • off (1 second)
  • on (3 seconds)
  • off (1 second)
  • Wait about 5 minutes and test your drone unit. 

If after multiple attempts this does not work for you please attempt the following: 

  • Unhook the negative battery terminal to your vehicle.
  • Leave unplugged for 10 minutes or more before hooking it back up.
  • Wait about 5 minutes before testing drone unit. 

If this does not work for you or you do not feel comfortable unplugging your vehicle battery please see the original installer or an authorized dealer

DR-3100:

These units should have no issues rebooting after the subscription is renewed. Please submit a request with all relevant account information and an agent will respond to you in a timely manner in order to assist with your issue.
